Upcoming Japanese Drama Season (Autumn 2008)-a blog about those I dramas I want to watch

Haha long blog title.

Most of the Autum Dramas will start airing on october.

I need more computer space!!

Anyway here it goes…

Here are the ones I want to watch.

I’ve read that the scriptwrter of Innocent Love was also the scriptwriter of last friends. Since last friends turned out to be a really great drama, I’m guessing that Innocent Love will be like that too. Another reason why I want to watch it is because horikita Maki will be playing the lead role 🙂

Details from Dramawiki

An arson took it all away from Akiyama Kanon seven years ago. Her parents died in that fire, her brother was arrested as the prime suspect and her carefree life disappeared from that instant. She was shunned by the town as the sister of a murderer, yet she believes in her brother’s innocence and often pays him visits with words of encouragement. As life gets harder when nobody is willing to give her a job, Kanon decides to try her luck in the city and there she meets the man of her destiny…

2. Ryousei No Kizuna-starring Nino Kazunari, Nishikido Ryo and Erika Toda

Pleas read my previous blog entry about that drama. (It has all the details)

The drama is based on this novel:

Imagine you’re an 11 years old, and you found both your father and your mother’s corpses in the house, with blood stains everywhere. Then you have to tell the police what you saw over and over. Then later, you have to tell your 6 years old sister of what had happened. At the age of 11, you are suddenly burdened with big responsibility to protect and take care of your younger brother and sister.

That was what Ariake Koichi, the main character, has experienced. Ever since he and his younger siblings lost their parents in an awful tragedy, their bond has gotten stronger than ever. It tells a moving story about the strong bond between the 3 siblings. How they strived to keep living. And how after 14 years, they still cannot forgive the murderer of their parents, and keep thinking to take a revenge. Until one day, they found the murderer…

Ryusei no Kizuna is a mix of human drama and mystery suspense. Moving scenes and interactions between the brothers and sister. And also the built-up suspense, like… who is the murderer, actually? Is the man who they think is the murderer, really is the murderer? The answer is kept hidden until the last chapters, while the readers might able to take some hints here and there from the beginning. The book has 53 chapters that covers a 14 years span. Chapter 1 to 6 is when Koichi is 11 years old. A scene in Chapter 7 hinted that Koichi is already a 3rd grade student in highschool, then maybe he’s around 17 here. And Chapter 8 to 53 is 14 years after the tragedy which makes Koichi a 25 years old.

I really want to thank that person in livejournal who posted the synopsis of the book 😀

It made me want to watch the drama even more.

Ryusei no kizuna CM

Anyway, I’m not sure if all of them can pull-off their roles well….well, they’re all great actors/actresses but their roles seem kinda different from their usual. Erika Toda, Nishikido Ryo and Nino Kazunari are siblings in the drama….the casting crew was smart….all of them are short :)) I hope that the drama turns out well and that It’ll have high ratings. Ryo and Nino are both very versatile and great actors so I’m guessing that they can both play their roles well. I’m just not sure though 🙂 Can’t wait to watch it! ^_^
